Bed bugs live in a wide variety of places. Most of the time they will be within two metres of the bed
They prefer to live in the bed frame, headboard and bedside tables. They commonly live in sofas as this is a place we relax. They can also be found behind skirting boards, in electrical sockets, under floorboards.
More unusually bed bugs live in alarm clocks, laptops and books. This places are not common but are a possibility.
Bed bugs can squeeze into pretty much any space into which you can put a credit card. They prefer to live in a solid structure such as the bed frame as there are many hiding places where they can stay between feeds. Bed bugs are scared of movement and being killed. The hiding places in the bed frame are an ideal living location as those fears are minimised.
