Details of Your Bed Bug Treatment

Below, you will find further details of your bed bug treatment.

Where possible clear clutter away prior your bed bug treatment, particularly around the bed area.  This means our technicians will have better access to the areas we need to treat and will make the process quicker and more effective.

Do not put things into sealed plastic bags. The bed bugs will only re-infest your home when you open the bags, as they can go into diapause for upto 18 months .

Let us know if you have pets so we can ensure that any chemicals we use do not cause them any problems.

Once we have treated, we require you to leave your property for 2-3 hours. This allows the chemical we have sprayed to dry and will then be safe for you and your family.

Be prepared to be bitten after we have treated. This is completely normal and means that any bed bugs which have hidden away during the treatment will now have crossed the chemical barrier and  will soon die. Our chemicals have a residual affect and last for up to 60 days.  This means that any eggs which may hatch after treatment will also be killed.

Bed bug eggs take 18 days to hatch and bed bug adults and nymphs can take up to 10 days to feed. You treatment can take up to five weeks to kill all bed bugs in the property.

Further details of your bed bug treatment will be explained during the treatment process. Documents will also be emailed following the treatment.
